ER Visit

No pictures. I just need to vent! Wow 4 1/2 hours at the emergency room:( Brendan has had a fever for over 24 hours and when we checked him in at 5:00 tonight it was 105.1. He looked like he was in the tanning booth a little too long. Basically after blood work, a chest x-ray, and U/A, I don't know which one he screamed/cried loudest about. He did break out in a drenching sweat when they took the blood from the vein in his arm. Only to have it clot up because it took the nurse so long to get enough. Therefore she had to prick his finger to get more. (Why couldn't she have just pricked his finger to begin with if that is all the blood they needed)? Oh yeah and he also had a 2 inch "q-tip" shoved up his nose to check his boogers! The chest x-ray showed a very faint "shmutz" as the Dr. put it. Just enough that she prescribed amoxicillin, and sent us on our way. Does it seriously take everyone 4 1/2 hours for a fever at the emergency room. Okay, I got that off my chest. Of course, anything to make our little guy better, but goodness!
