April 2010

We have been having such an amazing time with B as he is transitioning into such a little man! He is so independent and we are close to really pursuing this potty training thing for good! A couple of our favorite things is that he is very sweet, and so sincere. He will say 'Mommy, I am so proud of you' with such inflection that it just melts our hearts. He is a total snuggler, and we love every chance we get to do what he calls 'snuggly bears' (again in the cutest little voice you can imagine, and just want to eat him up)! Softball season is starting for Daddy, so Brendan will love hanging with all of the guys again this Summer! With some great help we had our deck boards replaced this month, and the deck looks beautiful! Thank you guys!!!! Brendan is also taking his second level of swimming lessons at Lifetime! He is in the water by himself with the teacher Karen. No Mommies or Daddies needed! Seems to be more play time than much lesson, but just the exposure will some day make him a confident swimmer. I am sure this Summer at the cabin, he will learn real fast about swimming, while he's in the lake all week! The boys hard at work, removing the old deck boards.

The first new section of boards.

Brendan's tools, but he always seemed to "need" the big guys tools!

Helping throw boards over the rail!

Modeling his tape measure on his "carpenter" pants!

Helping Nana & Papa with yard work!

Eating strawberries, watching Papa mow!

Another deck picture!

At the zoo with Myles!

Brendan, Tim & Myles. Alexis was with us, Marilyn & Lauryn!

The boys had a great time, and were super silly together!

Finger painting!

Easter desserts! Yummy!

Easter egg hunt!

Easter fun!

Easter snuggle!

Coloring Easter eggs! He only threw one into a cup!

The Easter bunny stopped by!

He loves his scooter, and is always sure to have his helmet on! I think the last thing he thinks is safety, but that the helmet is cool!

If he could go to bed like this every night he would. One night we let him have a flashlight in his bed, and he was laying down, shining the "spotlight" down on his game of mini stick hockey that he was playing. We have been trying to limit the amount of stuff at bed time, so he will fall asleep before 10:30.

Spring has sprung! And, what a beautiful Spring we have had!

Bath time!

Sorry, gotta have some nakeds!!!!

Hockey again!

Let's hope he keeps the vacuuming obsession!

Bowling Birthday party for Megan & Sarah!

Using the ramp!

He had such a blast!
